Stephen Lower is open as normal, although as with many companies at present, the vast majority of our Team are now working from home.
Whilst we are endeavouring to maintain our usual unparalleled service levels, please do bear with us if there are any minor hiccups, whilst we adjust to these new ways of working

Coronavirus and customers in temporary financial difficulty
Stephen Lower and our respective insurers recognise that we are all currently living through truly exceptional times.
As part of this, we would collectively like to make it clear that we fully support the Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA's) requirement for insurance companies to provide support for policy holders who are in temporary financial difficulty as a result of the current pandemic.
For example, a policy holder might be struggling to pay their insurance premium because they have either been furloughed or been made redundant as a result of the pandemic.

(Note that although the FCA's guidance expires on 31st October, they are currently consulting on extending this further)
Should you be a policy holder in such circumstances, then the most important thing is to communicate this to your insurers as soon as possible.
Who to Contact
- If you obtain your Stephen Lower policy via an insurance broker or managing agent, then generally please contact them in the first instance to discuss your situation
As your agents, they will be able to advise you accordingly and will contact us on your behalf if appropriate.

Property Unoccupancy
Should your property become wholly or partially unoccupied as a result of Coronavirus-related issues, then please refer to the following MS Amlin documents:-
Clearly, these are MS Amlin documents and any reference to notifying MS Amlin should be read as notifying Stephen Lower instead.
Note that properties unoccupied before HM Government's announcement on 23rd March 2020 and those properties which have become unoccupied for non-Coronavirus reasons may be subjected to different terms and requirements.
